ENCAUSTIC, a son of Broad Brush and full-brother to top racehorse and successful sire Include, joined the Millennium Farms racing stable in early 2008.  The Maryland-bred colt is now trained by Steve Asmussen. Encaustic broke his maiden in his second start, at Laurel in August of his two-year-old year.  He is stakes-placed in Maryland, New Jersey and Louisiana. On April 11, he ran a close second to Prom Shoes in the Fifth Season Stakes at Oaklawn. "We are excited about Encaustic's future and are pleased to have him in the Millennium racing stable," said Millennium Farms' owner Ro Parra.  "He has tremendous upside as a racehorse and great stallion potential as well."
