The multiple grade 1 winning son of Kingmambo will make his final career start in the Classic, then retire to Millennium Farms in Lexington, Kentucky to begin his stud career for a fee of $20,000.

Millennium Farms’ STUDENT COUNCIL rallied 5 wide from off the pace to win the grade I Pimlico Special. He has now scored Grade 1 wins on Polytrack and on dirt.

Millennium Farms’ Student Council will return to the track in 2008, with potential early season targets including the $500,000 Donn Handicap (GI) at Gulfstream Park on February 2, the $1 million Santa Anita Handicap (GI) on March 2 and the $6 million Dubai World Cup (G1) on March 29. The winner of the $500,000 Hawthorne Gold Cup (GII) and the $1 million Pacific Classic (GI) most recently traveled to Tokyo for the Japan Cup Dirt, where he finished eighth in a field of 16.
